I want to race - please tell me how
running as part of the
British Cross Country Championship series and we do recommend that you come and visit us
at the next event where you will get a good appreciation of
how the series is run (very well), and how the Freelanders
fit into the series. You will also get to see the
Freelanders in action and this is very very spectacular!!
Feel free to chat to the teams or to Brian, Chis or Selwyn
as we are at virtually all events.
Once you have decided you want to
progress and become part of the BRITPART RAVENOL Freelander
Challenge then you will need to get to get a car sorted.
This is the beginning of the really exciting stage where you
decide what modifications you want to do. Modifications
(apart from safety related) are not 100% necessary and there
are standard cars currently doing the championship. A list
of recommended modifications can be found here.
While you are sorting out the car you
also will need to get the national clubmans license (soon
available to download here or apply online)…and finally please let us know you are coming by
filling out the final paperwork. Regulations will also
shortly be available to download online.
In the meamwhile
take a quick peek at some of the action on offer.
Great part of the Freelander Challenge running as part of
the MSA British Cross Country Championship is that you can
turn up Friday evening (or even early Saturday) and you can
get off home mid-afternoon on the Sunday. To save money you
can even bring a tent as many camp overnight in the service
area - great atmosphere!
