The Freelander Challenge was founded by two avid 4x4
enthusiasts, Selwyn Kendrick and Chris Ratter, both with many
years of experience in all aspects of off-road motorsport.
Take a quick peek at some of the action on
The Challenge is basically
off-road racing in standard production Land Rover Freelanders
with only the addition of the safety features needed to comply
with the requirements of the MSA. The cars don’t need to be road
taxed unless you also want to be eligible to enter stage rallies
/ go shopping so this all helps to keep the costs down. All cars
will be similar, only the skill of the driver and navigator will
make the difference needed to get in the points.
The whole purpose of this
class of racing is to keep costs to a minimum whilst providing
maximum excitement and above all, fun. We offer a choice of
venues throughout the country with technical support and even
catering. We have a single central service area at each event
offering a great atmosphere for both crew, mechanics (if you
need them) and even the whole family. Camping is not only
available free of charge but seen as a must by most entrants -
don't want to miss out on the festivities in the evening!
Many of our events are
televised, so come and join us for a dirty weekend and get
yourself on TV - it‘s cheaper than you think!
